EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

I figured out a way that I can walk a mile in your shoes! Without leaving my home. First I open my freezer door climb half way inside and blast the sound from this video!
I now feel your pain sis! Man-o-man it's freezing! While I am in here hanging out in my Artificial Canada, I guess I'll pull something out for tomorrow's dinner!
:gig I'd try to walk a mile in your shoes, but I'm afraid even right by the heater isn't as boiling hot as you get.

They also have inexpensive pet beds that reflect back body heat. It would fit in a box, but I bet it would be nasty quick. You may have to use the mamma heating pad idea if you have power.
I thought about that, but we lose power often and I don't always wake up. I would be so mad at myself if I lost her because of that. :(

Plus I don't want to burn the coop down. Extension cords are really bad for that... nearly did a few winters ago. That's when I swore I would never ever run heat out there.
She has been okay on all but the coldest winters before, but she is now not welcome to roost with the others. Kind of a loner bird. Combined with the fact she's 1lb at most and has hard feathering... yeah, she gets pretty cold.
One time recently I was scared I was going to lose her. She was wobbly, eyes closed, shivering wicked bad, and unwilling to move or drink. 12 hours in the house perked her up, thank goodness.

Thanks for all your help. :hugs

I hope you have her a long time more she is a beautiful bird. I used that pad for my bottle kids last year in a plastic barrel since the chicks were the year before.

She has me wrapped around her scaly little toes, lol. I love that bird.

I don't know. Maybe I will try a heating pad... every bit of me screams 'bad idea' about it, though. Just keep bringing her inside nightly?

Or turn her into a 100% house bird. :P

There has to be a catch right? After all.. remember we are quoting craigslist?
3 six months old roosters SOLD!!! YAY! $8 each times 3 = 2 bags of layer pellets for my ladies..:)
Load em in the carry cage stuck em in their mini van & they hand DH the LEGAL TENDER.. :highfive:
A pillow case full of quarters... AND said that we can keep the pillow case! WAHOOOO!:yesss:
DH tied it in a knot and made a tommy knocker. He said :oldthe next person who pays for their birds and their money weighs more than the chickens, he was gunna bonk em.:smack

Tune in tomorrow for another page of "craigslist tales".. unless no one shows.. most likely.;)
