EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

I can-----understand this----- I assume you thought it was a ------curling team-----When you saw they had no brooms or stones-----you realized your error:gig:gig:gig:gig:gig:gig:gig-----
No, Ralphie, not an error.
at the time there were only 12 teams.
the Detroit dead things, the Chicago chicken hawks, and the rangers were not very good at that time, and all the expansion teams from the early 70's were brutal as well. Some of them still are....
it was pure rebellion when Orr, Esposito, Cashman, and Cheevers won the cup over the Habs and Leafs. Drove both my Dad and Grandpa nuts. :)

Because Ralph said the pe dash was the punctuation of the future.

I do have to admit that Orr was an absolutely brilliant player.

Banty,
There is hope for you! Just don't let any other Habs fan hear you say that. To his final days, my Dad would never compliment any player, from any other team. Just the way it was growing up in Quebec in the 50's & 60's I guess.
I know the comments between my Dad and Grandpa in French & German when the Leafs and Habs played were not complimentary, and probably had something to do with their respective heritages at times. But my Dad was a die hard bleu, rouge et blanc all his life.

I won't compliment any current players but some of the past players were too good even for my staunch love of the bleu-blanc-rouge to ignore. I think I'll be safe long as I steer clear of other canadiens for the next few decades. :gig
