Is there a better way to mark chicks? I couldn’t think of anything else that wouldn’t be picked at or inhibit them.

Pink chicks, green chicks, orange chicks; just like at EasterFood coloring or marker.

She didn’t make it. I’m not sure if she overheated in the cup, I tried to position it well. She was very small and weak, so it perhaps was unavoidable.

Shipped eggs and temps too low usually and sometimes too high will cause chicks to hatch like that. Get a good thermometer like the brinsea spot check and make sure your incubator is set correctly for temps.
March 10 is set day for the Easter hatch a long...Plenty of time to setup a new hatch!
