EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

I have decided I'm never going to even try and butcher birds in summer. Fall only if at all possible. It's lovely having no bugs to worry about.
I process in the garage and kitchen...I do not have a bug problem....

You don't have a Garage or barn?

The kitchen is the important part. Isn't prepping food what a kitchen. Is for?
No garage. I have a coop.

And a shed, but that's not empty enough to walk in. Plus no light & wicked hot in summer.

Maybe, but I'd rather not be plucking and eviscerating into the sink!

Why not?

That is what sinks are for after all. I use the sink for that and also washing chickens from the store, cutting fat off of beef and pork. It is not much different really

I have never understood the romantic notion that you had to do stuff like this outside with the bugs!

Because I am short of temper whenever I have to kill something, and entertaining questions from small Rugrats about what's in the sink is not my cup of tea. :hide

She wasn't close, was she?
She had just gone to bed. I thankfully had been in the living room rather than doing dishes. Sister is bringing her husband (a little over an hour) tomorrow to deal with it.

 Too true!
Duckling wanted to go outside, and catch a rooster (Stephen Tyler is out) and kill it today. I mean, she was racing to the door!
