EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Sorry I'm late to the party (like anyone even noticed), but if ever there was "the day from Hell", this must be it.
Last week I made up an order for Lowes, but didn't try to submit it 'til this morning; waiting for the tax refund. I went to the cart, where there should have been over 20 items; it was empty. I got hold of their "chat associate", who said that the system hadn't saved the order (supposed to be saved for 30 days). No chit, lady! Figure that out all by yourself, did you?
She said if I gave her the item #'s she could submit the order, but if I went through all 21 of them, one by one, I might as well recreate the order myself.
I finally got the order together again and tried to submit it, but the security code on my debit card was rejected, 3-4 times. Tried calling the bank and started getting one recording after another 'til I finally hung up & drove to the bank. All they could tell me was that the security code was invalid, which I know it isn't; checked it 3 times. Came home and tried Lowes again; now their system's down.
Don't you love modern times, modern problems?
Can't you just go to Lowe's and buy the stuff then? Seems like it may save time.

This thread has more problems than Mr. Carter has Little Liver Pills.
I quit trying to reply to threads directly. I write my reply in wordpad, then copy and paste it into the reply window.
I think part of the problem is all the ads updating. Until they complete, only about a third of my keystrokes show up. It generates lots of misspelled words.

Sure we aren't related? Like maybe cousins long lost or something? That sounds like something that would happen to me.

Ah for the good old days where you use to get in your car, drive to the business, hand them your neatly filled out order form and then two weeks later they would call you and tell you that your order was in and ready to be picked up. And it was!

We have been having trouble with UPS. We live in North Eastern Missouri about two miles from a major rail line. Anything we order, whether it is FedX, UPS, or USPS goes by us, travels all the way to KC, then works its way back to us backtracking from KC to our farm. So it's about 2.5 hour drive from home to KC, that is an extra 5 hours worth of travel on our packages. The kicker is last month, DH had a package once again go to KC, but then instead of coming back east it went south to Springfield MO and set there for three days. We kept getting email alerts from them telling us our package had experienced a delay. We were tracking it the whole time so we knew exactly where it was. We finally got it but in between time is very frustrating. We have been in our car and sitting at the railroad crossing, watching the FedX and UPS shipping cubes trundling by heading west. One day I asked my husband why they couldn't just toss our packages out on their way by. Seems like a good plan....

They don't have an employee living in the cargo container.

The whole idea is that if I order it online I don't have to pull it; they are supposed to email me when it's ready for pickup
