EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Does anyone use peroxide for sterilizing hatching eggs? I've been hearing about this.

Also does anyone use the rcom eco suro with the cradle ? Are the egg racks it comes with okay to use ?
I don’t do either so I won’t be able to help. I can say I’ve never sterilized any of my eggs and they do fine. If it’s a dirty egg I might wash it in warm water.

My Boer doe is huge too, but poor Dragonfly is so uncomfortable. She is known for having triplets or quads.

And Miley is not far behind.

I don't steralize my eggs. they go in, dirty or not. I clean the brooders out with bleach inbetween uses... but chickens in nests don't clean their eggs, and poop around them, so I figure a little germy egg with a few other germy eggs is probably okay.

I would want to see a better picture of his face, but he has a nice figure so far. It will be interesting to see what he looks like as a full blown adult. I can see the promise in him (assuming he's a boer)
