Does anyone know a good thread on a hen that probably had an egg bust inside her? Also, if she dies it bad I'm assuming the meat is bad right?

Of course it's one of my beautiful Heritage RIR birds, and not one of the egg-laying mutts.

Could I get some input on calibrating my hygrometers?
I'm a first-time hatcher, prepping my incubator (Farm Innovations 4250). I'm trying to calibrate two different hygrometers (an AccuRite and a AMIR) using the salt test. I have them both in the same ziploc bag, and the salt is a 2:1 ratio with distilled water, in a separate small ceramic bowl. But the reading seems to be capping out at 66-67 with BOTH hygrometers. It's been 6 hours. Do I just keep waiting? Am I doing the test incorrectly perhaps? They can't both be wrong.

I had to put the whole thing into a clear plastic container. The ziplock bag was apparently not sealed well. It went up almost as soon as I put it into the container.
