EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Finally got it straightened out, I had two, 70,000 dollar helicopter rides in my last pregnancy, I didn't have 140k sitting around for my insurance to refuse to pay. Finally got it straightened out ^.^

Oh, let me check my sofa cushions, sometimes change falls out my pocket and collects there. :lau

I'm glad you got it straightened out.

I want to build a DIY incubator out of a styrofoam cooler, and maybe try to hatch Call duck eggs in it. I've never hatched anything successfully, only tried once, and I know Calls are tricky. Do they require different humidity? ETc?

Its day 23 and all have hatched perfectly except the last 2. There are no pips and i candled them both one i think mmay be dead but the other is moving but the air sac is elongated down the egg and is taking up 2/3 of the egg. Should i assist???? Need help quickly

Hey guys, Incubating inquiry here! :jumpy

We just picked up a bunch of French black copper maran eggs (davis/jean line) so I need all the advice I can get on hatching these puppies! Cause DAAAAANG are they expensive! I've read they do better at 101F. Can anybody confirm this? I've got a new thermometer/hydrometer coming via amazon and currently am making a DIY water wiggly thing a ma bob. :clap
Ok just checked the thermometer and it’s actually at 100.7 not 101.
