EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

@daxigait did you ever get a better job? Remember you were looking for something where they respected you better.
Not yet, I have had an incredibly tough year financially so I haven't been willing to take the risk of a move. Besides, the last job offer I got locally l(ast week) they wanted someone to work 6 days a week 6 to 6 that's 72 hours a week. Are they smoking something?
Thanks for asking.

And no paid overtime, I'm guessing

What if you’ve had drawdown, no internal pip, no chirping, and the breathing movement has reaaaaally slowed down (like, was glaringly obvious before but now is barely perceptible)? I’m worried about this particular one because the other egg of this breed in my last hatch made it this far, and then failed before pipping. If I can help it I want to.

I respect your mindset. If you feel that the chick isn’t just resting, go ahead, and s-l-o-w-l-y assist. Stop if you see blood.
I wouldn’t say that if you hadn’t added about the last-minute losses.

I took too long ... it’s dead. It was moving, barely, just a little while ago. It’s still warm. It was totally ready to go and just didn’t get through the membrane... there was some goopiness but not near the head. Yolk was totally absorbed and everything. Consolation is it was a male.
