EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Oh wow, sorry to hear that. When is the proper local guy available?

No, I haven't kept up, skipped ahead. A friend of Deb's came to visit, I lasted a day then headed to the lake cottage. Came home, weather has been nice, been busy working outside.
Good morning Mike good to hear from you. Busy here as well at work and home. Besides that I’m trying like crazy to get some challenged shipped eggs to hatch. Very porous for some reason.

Oh! You haven't been following the saga, I guess. Maybe it's all on WV's thread.
I bought it last week; it got delivered Tuesday, unassembled, with no manual. A friend of mine got it assembled w/o a guide, and the factory sent me a pdf, which, among other things, said to cycle the ram a couple times in the upright position, to distribute the hydraulic fluid, then add the remainder of 5.5 gal. to the reservoir. Ain't happening; ram won't move. After trying a couple other things, the current Customer Care opinion is a bad or loose pump. I was told that the proper guy at the local service facility wasn't available Friday, so here I sit with half a cord or more of wood to split that a wedge & sledge won't touch, getting more torqued by the hour. The factory folks, regardless of all the platitudes they throw at me, couldn't give a chit less that I can't get anything done; they know I'm not about to be jumping up & down on the boss' desk in Colorado.
That’s crazy Whites hope you get it resolved soon.

Unfortunately, it's not all that unusual in business anymore. Seller's feeding me this BS that it'd cost too much to ship these things already assembled (right after he told me that it should have been shipped assembled) & test run. Either he's dumb as a box of rocks or he thinks I am. Just what's different if they're shipped unassembled in a crate? The weight's the same either way! More cheapask plywood? They charge more & more, while doing less & less. The American way at it's finest!

Screw these people; I'll buy local or not at all from here on, regardless of price. I don't need their chit & lies.

I work at a co.op where we sell mowers and such and I don't send anything home with someone unless I know it works.... you know forward is forward and reverse is reverse. Just my thoughts but I would rather find a problem where the guy can fix it instead of having the customer high and dry

Did you get any to hatch from the last batch?
One is approaching lock down but it looks like day 21 or worse. I’ve actually put it in lockdown and trying to keep humidity up. I think it’s dead but I’m keeping with it as it’s one of the better whites.
Of the replacement eggs 8 of 12 are trying but, 3 or so are of the Dark Cornish breed, not the Whites, and they were great the first time as well. Normal eggs from the darks.
She also sent another 12 free no shipping not old enough to candle yet. Darks and Whites mixed.
I shipped her pens on Friday.

Exactly what I'm talking about. When a customer buys a product, any product, regardless of price, he has the right to be able to use it right away, not have it sitting idle for a week while some clown at the factory tries to figure out over the phone why it's not working properly. QC & a simple test run would eliminate 99.99% of problems, & they'd have another happy customer. They're located in Westminster, CO.
