EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

It’s down to 67*, but even at 80* the tent wasn’t bad. I was even able to cover up. Duckling took a while to settle down. With the rain fly off, we can see the stars, so she had to tell me about the stars, moon and lightning bugs. She fell asleep all of ten minutes ago.
I hope everyone stays cool!

OK so the pics do not accurately show my progress but you can kind of see the extra shade they provide at noon

That’s
These are my first apples. I’m hopeful I can get rid of the bugs, and actually have an apple from my very own tree! :fl

Nice. The apricots are about ripe. I’ll probably pick today as the squirrels and birds will eat them soon. After yesterday’s heat they probably ripened up enough.

Where would chicken people if dog people didn't keep their dogs behind chain link fence?
They do make good chicken coops. I’m at a stand still with my coop. Too many other things like trees losing their branches in the driveway, ponds being removed etc. plus the variety of chickens I’ve chose are high maintenance so at this point I’m having to re think the whole design of the coop. Or just let survival of the fittest kick in.
