Ok time for funny but not funny bear story. Seems my friend up the road about 20 minutes has had a bear slowly picking off his chickens. It got down to the last one and it was his favorite hen that was left. So they’ve been bringing it into the garage for the nights. Well a couple weekends ago they had to leave for the weekend. So the wife came up with a brilliant plan. We will put her in the greenhouse that’s attached to their house and leave the window to the house open a bit to let cooler air in for hen. Friend says no the hen will fly into house and make a mess. Wife says try it. When they got back not only did the hen get in and make a mess but she sat in his chair the entire weekend. He let his wife clean up the mess

About ready to call it a night here.

It worked.....I can't even explain why the comes on like that....I feel like a big bruise sometimes..... The doctor thinks it's Fibromyalgia.... But who knows. All I know is Prednisone helps alot..... Even more than Morphine. Morphine helps with the injuries but not that "whole body" pain.

I called it. He slept through the night without any breathing issues. D-day is the day he seems okay.

I just had to put down our 20 year old cat recently....I think I should have done it sooner by we had hoped she would just fall asleep and that would be that. ... No.
Last winter we just hoped she would get through the winter so we could bury her..... Heck her skeleton of a body made it till mid summer when we just realized it was time to let her quit suffering.
She had her thyroids removed years ago so d she never really was very heavy after that. .. Poor Misty....RIP

No they aren't particularly great egg layers.... They lay the tastiest little pink eggs though... But enough for me
Gentle birds too... Except my rooster.
He may have to go.... Came at me again today.
Little fxxker..... I kicked the crap outs him today again.... Think he'd learn..... I'm not afaid of him..... And will keep beating him down until he quits attacking me..... Might have to get a new roo

Pretty much what I did with mine. He never learned. His son was a great rooster.
