Thx. Never really went anywhere. Breeding and the expanded family trying to put me in a straight jacket- jacked up my BYC time.
We hatched too many birds to sell during the Son & his Fam moving in. Sold a couple hundred and kept about a buck twenty or so. Filled 2 freezers. Swine season over lapsed. Had a sow drop a litter in a flood. Drowned em all. @ others dropped fine. We have a 4 foot deep pond now. Jon boat rides for the grandson.

Just been physically and mentally worn thin. What don't kill ya, only makes you grouchier- ooops that's the ole man's saying. I guess I don't have a saying. That's why I took a little break.
As soon as the tenants are booted, I'll get back full time.

Give them some soap, they got tiered of the dust baths.

5 of them were out back a while ago, looking like drowned rats. Silly birds; worse than a bunch of kids.

I got tired just reading about all that's happened down there. I don't suppose that 4' pond was planned? Glad you're essentially fine & in one piece. Not raining here at the moment, but had been since Sat. night. We don't have any ponds, just deeper washed-out guts in the gravel lane.

Hope it works out and you get your home back soon. Son and granddaughter have moved out of here.
Just got more grain the other day. The pig farmer is now into raising chickens. Last I heard he had 750 meat birds. Competition for grain just got serious.
