I don't remember the name, or whether it operates in your area, but there's an organization (not Angie's List, although that'd work, too) that can generate lists of people in your general area from just about any trade you can think of. Might be able to find a decent handyman, other than that one you used a year or so ago.

His new collar with tag, and 30’ check cord ($10 rope that is only worth it because it’s what I’d pay to make it) arrived.

I think you mean Home Advisor. I never heard back from a single person, and put in two requests. I used them for the landscaping company that destroyed two runs, and cut the power to the coop.

I am glad I didn’t go with the cheaper collar. It probably was fine, but I wanted a collar that would stand the test of time.

If you have access to linseed oil, it would be a good idea to rub some into the leather a couple times a year; keeps it pliable & keeps it from drying out. I have a tub of it that I used to pass reins & straps through after I made them, but that was overkill; took them forever & a day to stop dripping.
