Numbers coming out of there are devastating. 40% contained I think. 11,500 structures 650 missing people, and many dead

It really is. Missing has climbed to 1000. They say the fire was so hot that most won’t be found. Uncomprehendable. I did find out that the guy I bought my house from who lived there had moved to be with family elsewhere. So hopefully he wasn’t there.

It really is. Missing has climbed to 1000. They say the fire was so hot that most won’t be found. Uncomprehendable. I did find out that the guy I bought my house from who lived there had moved to be with family elsewhere. So hopefully he wasn’t there.

It is terrible ! I really hope that the needed Lessons will be learned for the future.

Many changes needed. Including my house. Every one likes living in the trees but it comes with a high cost. Options are to cut everything down. But rules forbid it here without a permit and just cause. Disease, dying, under certain size etc. even with that more need to be planted in their place. Bad situation. Dead and down need removed here all the time. Every time there’s a fire like this I clean up more. It’s much better than it was but it’s a never ending process.

Safety (=clean from vegetation) trails and distance is the first rule of fire protection!
