EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Final count on the kits is 15. :th Bonnie really out did herself. Unfortunately, I now have another issue. I need to find a way to supplement the kits that aren't getting as much milk as the others.

On the bright side, the runt is a feisty little thing with a nice, fat belly.
That sounds like it’s would be time consuming. I did notice that some were getting more milk than others

Well it was a beautiful sunshiny day most of the time. Went to bbq and it poured with hail and lightning. Somewhat wet but it’s done.
Worked on tightening up the last half of coop for predators and built a bucket feeder. Nothing moved this weekend but will have them sorted out in time to pick the eggs I want for the Easter hal

Not really. They only eat twice a day at most and that's usually early morning or after dark. The problem is going to be ensuring that the milk is high enough in fat and protein.
There was a guy I think his name is Dan. Don’t know his BYC call but I think he had experience with rabbits before he turned goats.

Next kids due on Sunday.
I'm sure I'll see you as I get further along the thread but did you have a good delivery Sunday? My doe that was due Thursday 7th did not deliver until last night and she showed early labor all weekend so I am in the seriously sleep-deprived category. On the good side I have two beautiful doelings.

I would love to have opinions on which of the two to keep since I have a buyer for the other. Their butts and ribbing are about equal. they haven't stretched out yet cuz they were born last night about 10 after 9.
