The world is really small, an American with European origin use an African wood for pens sent by an Israeli with Lybian origin which got it from a wood dealer with Yemen origin!

Speaking of snakes, I haven’t seen a King snake here in awhile. Hearing about the gopher snake reminded me of them.

I'm on day 20 of my second shot at incubation. So far I have one pip and can hear chirping. I'm assuming it's out of that egg.

Sorry if this is off-topic, but what do you do with the chicks that hatch when you are calibrating a new incubator? I want to run a few test hatches with cheap local eggs before buying expensive shipped eggs, but that means I will have a small number of chicks of different ages that I don't really want.

The feed stores and local fairgrounds often have bird swaps too.

I set up the brooder a few hours ago and I'm still hot and exhausted. Got back worth the chicks just a bit ago. I'll post pics as soon as I stop feeling like I'm dead.
