How was your trip?

It was pretty great! We had a blast. We went to Dollywood Friday with my mom and then we went and got @ChickenMama6RIR her chicks Saturday.

So did you get any more chicks? I hope so, though you did better than some people on a hatch.

I ended up hatching 7, lost one tho. Had one other pip but that was it. Of course the 2 dark olives that I was really hoping for didnt hatch View attachment 1735423

Congratulations on the ones that did hatch. It's kind of like guy despite all year long in the one I lost this year to disbud and was a doeling from a breeding I had been excited about four months and was really hopeful for not to mention having waited till the dough was 2 years old to kid.

Congratulations on the ones that did hatch. It's kind of like guy despite all year long in the one I lost this year to disbud and was a doeling from a breeding I had been excited about four months and was really hopeful for not to mention having waited till the dough was 2 years old to kid.

That sucks. We had this one doe we really liked. She had the size from her dad and good growth rate and was all around a fabulous doe, she was bred and had just started to develop an udder when a pack of neighborhood dogs got in and killed her.

I loaned a Boer buck out to cover some Fainters for a friend; his Mastif & Rotweiler got out & gutted him (the goat, not the friend) through the fence.
