EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

They're easy to catch. Pluck them off the roost just before dawn and cut the jugular.
I don't chase chickens.

My chickens run like the wind, even as day old chicks. I have to be on my toes pulling them out of the incubator moving them to the brooder. They have gotten away and I haven't been able to catch them till after dark.
Perhaps that's why they are both so easy to keep in short fences and they are so predator proof. They can fly but much prefer to run. They're more likely to find a way to sneak under a fence than go over a 3 foot fence.

:barnie Tell me about it! I finally gave up on the temp run. I never did figure out where the hole was.

Here is the golden egg Duckling was so worried about finding. It’s her first piñata, and she is going to flip when she sees it! The contents are pretty cool too. I bought her a Fingerling. It’s some little toy that clings to her finger, and reacts to... something. It’s a popular toy.
The eggs were hidden around the front of the house. I don’t know if any were moved by fowl play.
