EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Day 20 on my serama eggs. This hen lays very slick eggs and I accidently dropped one candling day 18. Egg didnt break bad, theres just a tiny piece of shell missing exposing the membrane. I'm hoping it doesnt dry up. Right now the broke egg is rocking and I have another piping. ( set 12, candles at day 10 and 5 were clear. 7 still good at day 18)
New Skin or super glue worked for me on a shipped egg.
ETA
just saw the rocking part. If it’s made it this far it’s probably going to be fine without extra treatment.

Been taking the elevation factor into consideration also. Plug was pulled day 10 like they said. When I candled on day 14 looked like I had 18 of 26 that still looked viable. It's definitely trial and error up here in the clouds. I am at 6200 ft above sea level. Lock down is tomorrow so I will know how many to leave in the bator.
Keep us informed. What do you have the humidity at?

I keep a bottle of liquid skin next to the incubators for all of my slip ups.

Hey Benny been busy getting firebreaks in and making the road a little wider coming up to the house. Just in for a break. Had quite the hatch of Bresse the other day. Hoping this variety is more sustainable than the last.
How’s the wood work going for the knife?
Shalom Pete!
Yes I know the situation, work work and.......more work!
I needed to cast an Aluminum hand guard, befor I could work on the handle, and finally I did it in the weekend, so I will work on the handel very soon.

I was wondering if everything was being sung in English to try to eliminate the language barrier if all the judges aren't conversant in all the native languages of all the contestants. English is pretty much universally spoken anymore in developed countries, isn't it?

That's the basic assumption. That and English is just a popular and recognizable language for most music now. American and British pop culture DOMINATES pop culture around the world, here everyone knows Justin Timberlake and Kim Kardashian. One of the most popular reality tv shows is Teen Mom and daytime tv's favorite is Young and the Restless. And of course Disney is a global juggernaut. While it's sad we don't hear many songs in the native languages anymore, I understand it's to make it more accessable and a lot of songs that don't win the contest still manage to find wider acclaim in the music industry. The Belgian entry for 2016 was huge on the radio after the contest and still gets played regularly.
