Thanks for all the info I believe red jungle fowl are the ancestors of a modern day chickens so they require same incubation practices. I tested my aquarium thermometer in ice water and it read 32degree F so not too far off. I don't know how to test the hydrometer tho. I'm a little afraid to try my hands at some new eggs .

I don't know based on what they're saying it's all the informations at the still on the first page of this thread. but there's all kinds of information on testing thermometers and testing hydrometers and all kinds of other things related to hatching.

Silly me forgot to look at the links you posted Sally sorry I see you can calibrate a hydrometer. I will save the information you posted to my favorites. I placed my hydrometer in a sealed bag with about a teaspoon of salt and let it sit for 24 hours and it read 72 %Humidity so only 3% off not bad. I should have been using the aquarium thermometer for the start tho.

Why dont u try hatching local eggs for a try b4 u buy more. Lotta farm eggs for sale and most times are fertile. They may even want to have the chicks back if u explain what ur up to! Just practice or sell for a buck a piece or give away after hatch.

Thanks for the idea will do.

I wish they would eat their dang minerals I put out, but once it starts to get moisture they refuse to touch it, I know I said that before but refreshing us lol. I tried the sweet lix that is the worst, unless I add small amounts to grain bowls when I feed. I am back to mana pro minerals because they at least eat some when I put it out fresh.

It amazes me how unbalanced feeding goats are, needing so much added vits and minerals, pain ugh. Before you realize it they are deficient in something else! Not sure where I am going wrong but its been a fight since day 1.
I really don't understand that, we have Bedouins here that have herds of dozens of Goats on free range only in the desert !
I am sure that they don't have the money for all the treatment you describe here!
They have mainly the Blac/Syrian Goat Capra hircus mambrica
Maybe it is a breed issue?
