EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

While I can change the plan 1,653,957 times, it’s materials. Namely screws or nails long enough. I’m not sure why I cannot find the right length and head online.
so what length are you looking for? they shouldn't need an overlay long one and if you need the equivalent of a libel to put it together those self drilling ones that they sell at home Depot or Lowe's or great I use them when I build my feeders and all kinds of things now feel like a cross between a screw and a lag bolt but they self drilling and they're not that expensive at least for building the main corners you can't use them throughout the project.

How can I save it for easy access ?

Hi Benny, I havent a clue on this platform, I just use chrome to save and bookmark info I want to read later

I give it a month before breeding and a month before kidding. Yes it's expensive but it's only one CC per hundred lb so a bottle lasts a long time if you don't have huge numbers like I do. the rest of the year I just put out vitaferm and the local goat mineral so I keep both out there.
sorry I have not been ignoring you. I have just been crazy busy and preparing last night we met I'd half-a-dozen doze and I had another one to breed. on top of losing the lawn mower and vehicle problems and just general chores. sounds like life huh?
you can get it from your vet, or have your vet give you a script for either valley vet or Jeffers.
yes, it is an injection. and be prepared some of them don't react to it at all, but some of them will throw themselves on the ground and scream and push on it because it burns a bit. it seems to be more reactive with the boers most of my Nubians act like it's no big deal I have one dough that doesn't like it, but there 57 Bowers acted like it was going to kill them not really but they had a bit of a fit.
I am glad you responded as I totally forgot to look it up! thanks Dax

oh, we AI bred six does yesterday, very expensive. I just hope they take or least most of them.
Did you do it yourself or vet?

Well,he could cut and paste it in sections. paste it somewhere on his computer and then print it off even if he wants.
I give it myself. I just have to either get it from the vet or get the vet to let me buy it online by issuing a script. I did not get a chance to go back later and look if it got them mineral correct with voice typing but it's called vitaferm. That's what I feed along with a cheap mineral since that one's expensive. I've heard some interesting things about duraform concept aid and I'm considering trying not to I tried to put different ones out and it's interesting how sometimes they eat one and sometimes they eat the other. do not give them all time in though if you give copper bolus or at least make sure they're separated by 2 months

this one? it also has copper, I am not sure about this since I have to do copper bolus quarterly they get a 4g bolus. I do like that it has the zinc mang and sel though. Can they OD on any of the ones I just listed? I give sel e gel quarterly as well. my goats are zinc defincient like we discussed, thats why I was doing the zinc chelate errr chelated zinc boluses in spring.

I wish they would eat their dang minerals I put out, but once it starts to get moisture they refuse to touch it, I know I said that before but refreshing us lol. I tried the sweet lix that is the worst, unless I add small amounts to grain bowls when I feed. I am back to mana pro minerals because they at least eat some when I put it out fresh.

It amazes me how unbalanced feeding goats are, needing so much added vits and minerals, pain ugh. Before you realize it they are deficient in something else! Not sure where I am going wrong but its been a fight since day 1.

I know both selenium and copper have to be watch that's why I made that second post that you must have missed about if you do copper bolus thing. I just like it cuz it covers all of it in one base and then I just occasionally need extra copper or extra selenium in real stressful times are copper problem is because we have so much mineral in in our hay and everything that leaches Copper from them.

it is always a challenge since we don't let them browse freely and move area to area we've complicated there eating and feed and everything. part of the complexity of domesticating and then having them in small areas.
I'm still trying to learn and figure it out and boy you end up with problems because they're deficient in this or that or too much of this or that boys are different than the girls. with minerals I've just learned to only put out only small amounts at a time
