EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

@Sally Sunshine my friend and I are going to make soap. she's done it a lot and I'm going to learn first time. where would I get some luffa if I wanted to some loofah to put on the one end of the soap?

also do you know a good essential oil that might be something like opium perfume? or maybe patchouli? some patchouli is good and some of it just stinks. or maybe something like bed bath & beyond eucalyptus spearmint?

I really don't understand that, we have Bedouins here that have herds of dozens of Goats on free range only in the desert !
I am sure that they don't have the money for all the treatment you describe here!
They have mainly the Blac/Syrian Goat Capra hircus mambrica
Maybe it is a breed issue?
Well, the desert would help a lot especially with worms like the barber pole that like grass especially wet grass. Our animals are also kept in small areas for extended periods, lifetimes and generations not moved around regularly or very far so there's a concentration of feces and other matter. there is also the fact that they graze repeatedly in the same spots.

It is also often a breed/breeding issue when we remove them from where the more naturally were, we concentrate on specific traits developing breeds and often characteristics for show, we require them to milk much more than is natural...

When I first started raising goats, I was shocked by how delicate they turned out to be. I was used to sheep, and assumed goats would be very similar. I'd like to find a good landrace-type goat that would be really hardy in my area. Or develop one.

I like patchouli and sandalwood I use bramble berry or nature's garden for quality.

You can get cut loofah on etsy, it sucks to cut straight if u want to do like I do in pic... I use a wood skewer to sick through and hold them above to the level I want so I can still add rope, this is an older bar that I have in my give away stash of leftovers. When I get down to 1 or 2 bars I pull offline and move them to the bucket lol.

Or I absolutely love these as they are soft yet exfoliating. I want to make some in oval individual molds and set them on top and no string....
They look so pretty too

Can you mold the soap directly into the sliced loofa?
Couple more “meaties” these were taken from broody as eggs towards the end. No way would they survive in the coop.
