I'm just going to come out and say it, because I don't think there's ever going to be a time when I actually feel like saying it. I'm in denile even though it's staring me in the face. My dad has officially been diagnosed with cancer in his lymph nodes. It was in his tonsils, but it had already started spreading before his surgery to remove them. It's a rare cancer, made even rarer by the way it's behaving. In the next few weeks he'll be starting chemo.

At this point, I don't know how to feel. I've taken over all of my dad's chores so he doesn't have to worry about it. He can't lift the feed bucket for the horse and pigs since he had surgery.

I wish someone could tell me how I'm supposed to feel.
I am so sorry Raz, I dont even know what to say, I think about my dad and I just push it out of mind, I am horrible I know. I dont deal well :( hugs and praying he gets through chemo like a champ <3

I'll leave them two more days then. Thank you! I'm hatching some barnyard mixes. Australorps and easter eggers.

Hi @WIChickenLady Calibrate thermometers, and have a read at the hatching 101 article, Humidity is never a set number, Calibrate Calibrate, I run at 100.5 CALIBRATED spot on, make sure your temps are not swinging either. I start at 25-30 humidity or per air cell size already, then adjust day 7, then I candle every three days adjusting humidity as majority of air cells require.

Sorry about your dad, Razadia. :hmm I'll pray for him.

I'm re-homing my goats today. I can't keep up with the chores. I'm a "Married Single Mom" and have health issues. This is the second time I've had to do this--I wish my husband would stop bringing home livestock he knows he won't be around to take care of when he knows I don't have the capability to care for them right now. All I do is get attached and make grandiose plans that collapse on me. And goats are so easy to get attached to, because they are such characters, and they get a lot more friendly than other livestock animals. Sigh...someday....
awwww I am so sorry :( I hope you get some relief, I cant do it with help, I am so backed up right now and I keep going going and I have to make time to sit a bit, now I have a few moments till I take kid to orthodontist, I should be making soap, but duty calls

as I sit here wondering how I am ever going to get all the special order soaps done, I get an email about doing fundraiser soaps for a group. I havent the foggiest on fundraisers, but wtheck I guess I am game. I need to start midnight soaping soon, might get more work accomplished!!

Anyways, Whites <3 and Raz <3
and everyone else too. I will stop on as I can, and if Sweets gets on tell her I miss her chattyness and conversation. MC you keep in tough via text please!! hugs!!

I can use some help if anyone has time to do some thinking for me!!
I am doing way too much soap to keep trying to melt 8 lbs at a time in the microwave, and when I move all this mess downstairs I wont have a microwave large enough, nor do I want one down there, anyways, I was thinking about how to melt oils to the right temp, say 116-125 degrees in a big pot with a bottom spicket, or a already made heat thermo pot that is electric, I was thinking just using the pots that come with the outdoor propane turkey fryers, and either wrap with ???????????? some sort of thermostat enabled wrapping, OR something like a fish tank heater? but I am not sure !! this is my deal not my husbands thats what I get back from him <sniffles> but I need to simplify so I can keep up with the bulk and its not even near gift giving season!! I have tons to make and not enough time. I REALLY APPRECIATE ANY THING YOU CAN COME UP WITH that is cost effective and WORKS!!!
