EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

I'll add this.
Thank you very much for this! Didn't know the details of the story, and It is very satisfying for me know them. This story is a constant reminder for the price that previous generations have paid for our freedom and how fragile freedom can be if we will stop to guard and protect it!

Not at all.
Israel was founded after the holocaust in WW2 as the country of the Jewish people, and it is a Jewish and democratic state.
It means that every Jewish in the world has the right to come to Israel and be automatically a citizen. But now there is a new question, who decide who is a Jew and according to what definition? And that is a HUGE question that deserves a completely different discussion....
Yes, I know many here that are converting to Jewish religion. For various reasons.

Indeed we have a lot of Jewish people that came got citizenship, served in the army and tried their luck elsewhere.
Here we have people from a lot of origins and country. From west and east Europe , North Africa, Asia, Ethiopia,US,Australia ECT.
And we have a lot of mixed couple like us. I was born in Lybia my dear wife in Ukraine.
How did you meet?

Hello,

I have a batch of eggs that started to hatch yesterday morning. This morning, one of them had external pip on the wronged ND of the egg (bigger portion, not the air bubble). Therefore, I helped him a little as it happened to another one of this batch yesterday night and I told myself I would give it a chance to finish hatching by himself and, if it was still trying this morning, I would help him. Turns out he died during the night even though he external pip only in late afternoon yesterday.

Anyhow, so I have one that I helped this morning in order to avoid the same mistake as yesterday night. He's out of his egg since 10 am. He is resting. Didn't change position of move at all. There doesn't seem to be yolk remaining outside of him. However, there seems to be a yellowish part in his belly. He is still very wet. He breathes and make small noises when the others are active, but that's about it.

I wonder if he's gonna be ok. What can I do to help him out? Would putting him on his belly be better (he was in this position in the egg, so I didn't change anything, except for his leg that got down/under him a bit)? Should I try to give him water with electrolytes?

Thanks a lot folks, I really want to give him the best chances he can get!

Hello. The answer is that it looks like (s)he needs a little more time to absorb the yolk. Maybe just a few hours. If they are getting bumped, place them in a dish until they have some energy. I would say a tea cup, but they might be more comfortable laying down for now. I am not recommending electrolytes yet because they look too wet and miserable to be forced to drink.
I don’t know if you know, you actually do seem to know, that pipping on the wrong end isn’t necessarily an emergency. I do think that after seeing the other chick die, I would have assisted too.
