if an EE is a mutt,, could my Roo be part ameracauna and part bantam of some sort??? The EE hens his age 4 1/2 months are twice his size..

he looks to be an ee and he could be what you say for parents or be an ee mixed with something else EEs are mixed color amerucanas or any mix of birds that lay a colored egg

my mom has pure amerucanas pure araucanas and ees she mixes them to make olive eggers and try to make bluer eggs

So could he be a EE bantam? I have a few other bantam breeds like sebrite and d'uccle and a pheonix, I knoe pheonix's are slightly larger bantam than most, maybe this is the case with him. Everyone keeps shooting up and gettiing so big and he just kinda stays small.

I would think that one parent could be your d'uccle to get the poofy cheeks.

I'm thinking he will be banty - between banty and a light breed. He is as big as my pheonix hen and they are the same age. Its perfectly fine if he is small, I happen to really like the EEs there are so many different styles and colors and sizes. Thank you all for your input I will keep my assumption of a small bird with a big attitude until all are at adult size which I was going to ask that too, with EEs at what age are they considered Roos and hens and not pullets and cockerells?

he is a bantam ee. he probably wont get much bigger. my parents have an ee pullet that is smaller than my d'uccle but slightly bigger than my oegb boys. i want her but of course i would have to pay for her
