Do EE's all have the olive green colored legs? Out of 8 EE's and 8 Speckled Sussex, only 2 have noticable OG coloring on legs. Is it something that comes as they grow older? I know the SS don't have that color of legs, it's just hard to tell the two breeds apart sometimes, so I just looked at all their legs.

They could have any leg color. It depends what they are a mix of.

I have two with green legs, but they got them about 3 weeks old. Before that they were flesh colored.

Since Easter Eggers are crossbred, they can have any color leg. I've seen green, slate, and yellow.

I have 3 EE's in the brooder that are about 4 weeks old. Their legs started as yellow. They are now a dark green/slate. Last year my three EE's all started with dark green legs at just a few days old.

Thanks for the info everyone!!

Thanks for letting us know! We got a bunch of EEs (7 total) in hopes that some would lay green or perhaps blue eggs. We heard that only the slate colored legged chicks will grow up to lay blue eggs. Most of our EEs have yellow legs, I was worried!
