I'll take some pictures tonight but in the meantime I have a couple of brand new chicks. Dad is a OEGB-looking bantam EE, mom is a very light bantam EE named Butter because she's the color of butter. Two of the chicks have the traditional chipmunk stripe although they're both quite light in color. The third chick is just a very pale yellow, no stripe, no markings at all. Is it normal for an EE to NOT have a stripe????

I hatched 6 ee chicks this spring and only one had stripes. It just so happened that it was a boy. So it can be either way

Thanks. We've had quite a few EE chicks over the last 2 years but this is the first time we've had any without stripes so I wondered if this was an outcrop since my birds are very clearly crossed with something non-ameraucana/auraucana.

Yes I've gotten EE's in the past and they were a multitude of colors some with stripes and some without. Some were very blonde and some were very dark with just a rusty colored head. Very cute!
Best of luck with your babies!
