EE Chicks....PIC ADDED

9 EE chicks....8 out of a Lavender Ameraucana roo and asst hens...there are true ameraucana's in here...but I can't tell since I didn't seperate the hens and roo. One is out of a pure Delaware sire and an olive egger hen. This was a test hatch and these guys need new homes! 2.00 each for some adorable chicks..all have slate legs and should lay colored eggs

By the way, that stage where chicks go from adorable and cute, to a few feathers to OMG Space Alien - I've decided to call it "Gawkward" All you can do is Gawk at them because they look so awkward and like little space aliens or teens that grew too fast out of their clothes!

I lost another chickie - drat! Not sure what happened and I was so sure the Silkie Mind-meld was working and they would tell me during the night if something happened. Once again, just not sure no signs of trauma, no acting sick prior to death. Hmmm.....

BTW, just so everyone knows it is Fyrekitten as in Fire Kitten. My husband calls me Kitten and I can be pretty "spicy" (okay attitudinal) but I didn't think putting "Spicy Kitten" as my monniker would look to good on a website. Just so everyone notices - I don't want you all to think I would Fry a Kitten - that would be my husband

Not really, he just prefers dogs over cats and his barred rocks over cats too.

BTW, I couldn't sleep last night (Fibromyalgia thing) and wrote a couple "Ode to Silkies" I finally went to sleep but in the meantime I giggled so much it was a wonder I didn't wake my husband. It's another morning but let me see if I can remember any of them.

OMG, that was just a short one but too funny I think!

Anyway, Thank God here up here we ended up with a quarter of an inch of snow so the jokes on us!
