EE cockeral??

I have a suspicion feeling that one of our EE is a cockeral. I'm hoping for some help identifying her/him. We bought two EE pullets and as they have gotten bigger i'm starting to wonder if one will be a roo. we have had them since March 8th. Im not sure their exact hatch date but they were chicks when we got them. So they are roughly 5ish weeks old. From what i've read EE can be a difficult breed to tell. This is our first flock of chickens so I am no expert by any means which is why I'm looking to you guys for some help.

The first two pictures is Eloise. Shes not the one i'm worried about but I figured I would post pictures for comparison.


The next two are of Sparkles. She's the one im curious about.

He is my oldest daughters so he wont be going anywhere but I guess he needs a new name now

I think a rooster named Sparkles is fantastic but I'm kind of a weirdo

1st is a pullet, 2nd is a cockerel.

Sparkles differently looks like a cockerel. Beautiful chicks though!

Males chicks tend to have a larger comb with a reddish/pinkish coloring.

It does! His comb quickly got so much more red/pink compared to the rest of our chicks which led me to my suspicion.

Agree - Sparkles might be re-named Mr. Sparkles.

We have an EE that looks very similar to your Eloise! She just molted (she is almost 14 months old) and now has some pale-grey laced feathers!
