EE color gene

How do i no that my hen will pass on her color gene to her chick, say if i cross her with an RIR??

Are you talking egg color or feather color? Because they pass on no matter what. . . They just change due to the RIR. The egg will go green or brown based on the EE's egg, and the feather color will go red or a buff-partridge looking color, depending on what your hen looks like.
