I think people were going off of color patterns when the chicks were 3-4 wks old... lot of changes happen between 3 and 6 weeks.Thank you! I've had a mild suspicion about the white chick as well... hut mainly due to the tail feathers. Here's a few more of him/her. I'm going to be sad if they're both cockerels. The white one is my favorite too. So I'm wondering now how everyone else thought their coloring was strictly female.... are they maybe not EE or are they odd birds?

Indeed, the gold boy had a fat red comb very early, so made you suspicious, yes? And 2 weeks later his coloring confirms it.Do these pictures change any minds? Or most likely still pullets? I've had quite a few chickens in the last 3 years (roughly) and all of them that had this red of a comb at this point were roof's. I have to confess I've only ever had 2 EE and they're both girls so no clue how an EE roo would start turning out.
If I had to bet, I'd bet cockerel. But I'd prefer to make the wager in a week or two, just to be sure. His comb and attitude made me suspicious. I'm at the point that I would be surprised if he wasn't a roo.
Here's the white one. Hopefully it's a pullet but again, I won't hold my breath. The comb isn't nearly as prominent as little orange's is but I wouldn't be surprised just based off its tail feathers, which we didn't capture in these pictures but are shown in the other pictures.
So 7-8 weeks now?Okay so I'm resigned to the fact that little orange is a boy but is my white EE for sure a cockerel as well? I go back and forth everyday but I'm pretty sure its mostly wishful thinking.
