I still think all pullets. The orangey one has a color pattern that is pretty specific to females. Male Easter eggers of similar pattern usually have blotchy coloring, not even coloring like yours.Do these pictures change any minds? Or most likely still pullets? I've had quite a few chickens in the last 3 years (roughly) and all of them that had this red of a comb at this point were roof's. I have to confess I've only ever had 2 EE and they're both girls so no clue how an EE roo would start turning out.
Yikes! It's wild how he changed like that. It does look more like a cockerel nowAre we still seeing female for little orange EE? I'm getting serious roo vibes from it in some of these pictures![]()
The orange one is a cockerel. He is getting black feathering on his breast. A pullet with this coloring would not get a black breast. It is odd... but I can't say I didn't feel he was a roo from get go to be honest. Just a gut feeling I guess. I'm almost willing to bet he is, but again, I'm not at all familiar with EE roo development. He's started squaring off with silky rooster that has no idea what's going on because he's a big ole dope... poor guy. And he's much more friendly with me and so much less cautious than the other two. It's funny to see Beverly (his silky adopted mama) squawk at him when he runs up to take treats put of my hand. The obvious girl EE want nothing to do with that.
