I hatched some chicks last spring that have just now started laying. Two of them, same color (black) and size hatched same day..same mother, which is an EE and same father, which is a White Leghorn..one lays olive green eggs and the other lays brown eggs. And just today I got a BLUE egg from another of their offspring (white).
