I got a new chick its a blk copper maran x araucana It has yellow fur with some new feathers coming in that are white,and it looks like a single comb,and its feet have a tint of green.So what will my eggs look like when they come. also I have a question about feather sexing will it work with this breed and what is the latest age that it can be done? It looks like it might be aboy if the pin feathers work at 1 week old.

Your chick, if female, will lay brown eggs. Sorry. Single comb = brown eggs.

Also, Easter Eggers and Araucanas are two very different breeds.

thanks Illia thats what I though I was hoping for olive eggs do you think they will be dark brown or am i getting med.brown

Personally I do not know. . . I've heard people usually get a dark brown though.

anyone out there who has had these chicks (blk copper maran x araucana) can you feather sex them.
