How often do Easter Eggers lay their eggs? I am thinking of getting 4 Cornish x hens for meat, and two EE's for eggs. I was wondering how often the EE's lay. Thanks

Mine have been some of my most prolific layers, and lay 5 or 6 eggs a week at 3 years old. It was nearly daily for the first two years, including winter.

We have always had ones that are great layers. The first year they layed an egg every day. They then took about a month and a half break and molted.
Then, started laying about an egg a day. Their eggs are larger the 2nd year. Every once in a while now one of them will skip a day. However, usually, I get an egg from each of them.

Our 5 year old EE/olive egg is still busy laying!

The one year olds lay pretty much daily too

mine lays about 5-6 eggs a week. she'll be a year old soon, and she has large eggs (almost to x-large on my egg scale). she's very quiet and a sweety pie too! but i once had an EE that was loud!

I have 2 EEs that are laying and 2 juvenile EEs.

We usually get two eggs a day from them, skipping a day here and there.

I would say they are some of the best layers- even better than my Buff Orpingtons and Welsummers.

Mine are almost one year old (I think 10 or 11 months).

Their eggs are slightly smaller than the BOs and Wellie eggs. I love the texture of them...smooth and silky.

Mine usually lay daily. They're young but great layers. Mine are not quiet, sweet, but not quiet, lol.
