EE or Ameraucana?

ee, lavender is not a showable color and ameraucanas don't lay green eggs.

She looks like an EE to me. Ameraucanas are supposed to lay blue eggs, I think that's what she means

Actually, Ameraucanas can lay either Blue or Green eggs, and still be within standard. I learned this through the nice folks in the Ameraucana breeder forum. It was a shock to me!

Lavender isn't considered a standard color YET, but I've seen such an increase in breeders working with them, that I'm convinced it's just a matter of time until it's an accepted color. I hate that any bird outside of standard color is 'just EE', but that's how the system is.

Oh no- I would have payed 50 for her! In fact, she was actually 35 dollars. She's the SWEETEST girl, so freindly and super spunky. She lays green eggs, though I haven't gotten any yet. And she's so gourgeous! I'm fine with her being an Easter Egger, I don't show. I got her and she has several red feathers on her chest and wings, so that's another thing that points to easter egger. Here's a picture of her:
