I got 5 chickens from a lady in vermont who advertised them as EE but when we went there, she said that she has purebred birds (and some EE) so there is a chance that some are purebred. she has a lot of Ameraucana, marans, silkies, and i think some barred rock but not many. she also has some game hens/roos but i dont count those when guessing the breed. this girl is much bigger than my others, i believe she is around 20 weeks or so? thats really an estimate though. but no eggs yet so cant say what color she lays. she is all black with muffs (i think) and single comb by the look of it. slate legs but maybe with a slight blue tint? do you think she could be purebred or just another EE?

That single comb means she's mixed breed. And sorry, but it greatly cuts down her chances of laying you colored eggs. You'll probably get some shade of brown or cream.

she does have a black copper maran rooster that besides some of her ameraucana, is the only other blackish bird. might she lay an olive egg? i am aware that straight combs usually lay a brown egg and pea comb usually lay blue or shades of blue, but what type of comb do olive eggers *typically* have? or can it vary?

*new to chickens*

here are the other chickens i got from her, all around 20 weeks:

silkie mix rooster - not sure what he is mixed with - 4 toes, red cushion comb - black feet

these girls im assuming are ameraucana mixes as well, but not sure with what, probably maran as well...
