Both the ops and rsf's birds are EEs... EEs are all mixed breeds that carry the blue egg gene. They can have any color legs, but most have green legs, they can lay any color eggs on the egg rainbow. And they may or may not have beards and muffs. They also come in an abundance of colors depending on the mix. It is always exciting waiting to see what color eggs your girly will be laying.

Pure ameraucanas are supposed to have slate legs, so she is an EE.

yes and they are only recognized in certain colors...

recognized Black, Blue, Blue wheaton, Brown red, Buff, Silver, Wheaton, White. Slate colored shanks and toes. A full muff or beard, Wattles are very small or absent. Pea combs. All else would be EE's

My EE "Ester" came from the Farm and Home store in Jacksonville, IL

Mine came from MPC too. I think it's neat how "mutts" can look so much alike.
