EE owners. How fast to EE chick s feather out?

I have 1 EE Bunny, is what i call it, so Bunny is feathering out slowly...I already see a bump on its head...like a little one where the cob goes. Already i don't think it looks too good. Bunny is 2 weeks old. Has wing feathers and is starting tail feathers.

I know to young to sex, just give me an idea on how fast your EE chick's feathered out. Out of my 8 i think i have 2 roos. My little SLW is not feathering out fast at all. And Dime, (The other SLW i bought with it) has tail feathers already. So i already think roo for him. But i better be wrong.

I know my feed store gets them from Mt.Heathly or something like, and so far i am ok with that. But i don't think they are very good at sexing chicks at all.

Ok, so my little girl, we call her Gem, is an EE. She is about 1 month now and has nearly all her feathers. To feather-sex your chicks, I'd wait until they're 1- 1 1/2 months old. Haha, I don't think you need this, but on roos the hackle and sadle feathers should be pointy, and hens should be rounded.

That being said, both of the EEs I raised last year feathered out differently, one more slowly. They both ended up being hens. Check out that thread, it'll help clue you in on what to look for to help you sex them

I currently have 4 EE chicks who are 2 weeks old. They are feathering at different speeds. If you'd like, I can take some photos of them if it helps. Just let me know and I'll post them!

It's good some other people have payed attention to this! I only have one Ameracuana, so I really don't know the gap between one chick to another.

And don't worry! I have 6 other chicks to keep her company! She has friends and is DEFFINANTLY not alone.....you can tell when they all peoridaclly get up in the middle of the night and chirp up a storm!

Thank you all like really. And yes i found that EE sexing thread and posted pics of Bunny there lol. I just noticed she is feathering out so much slower then my other chicks. And i think i might have 1 SLW roo...Nickle is feathering very slowly compared to his buddy Dime so i shall see on those, as long as Bunny is a girl i will be a happy camper.

then Bunny EE, i had 2 EEs...But Cheeks didn't make it past the whole shipping thing, she was a pretty little black and white fuzzy one! I bet she would have been very pretty.

Lol yepers! I read all the books and so plan on watching all the movies, i loved the first movie. You should read them! (I wanted to name all my chicks from Hunger Games but i ran out of names i liked!)
