My 9 month old EE pullet is making strange wheezing noises. She is very small, half the weight of our RIRs of the same age. I hardly see her eat, since she is lowest on the pecking order. She usually hangs around corners and looks depressed. She doesn't cluck, but instead makes a loud, short beeping sound.

What I am worried about is that occasionally afterwards she stretches out her neck and loudly wheezes. She also breathes as if she has asthma. The "asthma breathing" and wheezing have been happening for around two months now. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it, but she has a slightly split beak, it has been that way since she was a chick. The poop in the run is all normal. She lives with 6 other pullets in a 8x4 coop with a 20x10 run. Their bedding is hay and is in the top half of the coop, underneath their roost and in the nesting boxes.

I have not administered any treatment so far, having no idea as to what this may be. I would like to treat her at home.
