EE pullet or cockerel

I'm leaning towards cockerel, but it doesn't have the shoulder patches I thought EE cockerels have. TIA

That's a cockerel. EEs don't have to have anything because there is no standard. They can be any color with just about any pattern.

The comb, the tail, and the hackle feathers are what made me think cockerel.

He does have some dark red coming in on the shoulders and wings. And that comb is way too pink, too early to be a pullet.

I definitely see darker shading on the wings/shoulders. It will darken as he ages, but it's there now. A pullet of the equivalent color would have soft, even coloring over the body.
