Are EE's combs a good way to judge gender?? Red vs pink/yellow??

I have a black and white EE that I thought was a roo BUT now I'm questioning myself. Wish they could just tell me!!! haha

Top one is a roo...bottom one looks like a pullet, but could be a roo also. The big patches of white on the wings would not be present on a female...they are more uniform in color. Which is why I think the bottom one might be a pullet.

My EE roo looked a like that at 7 weeks. If you see three rows of peas there, you got a boy.​

one of my EE pullets, at 25 weeks...their combs are finally red and I am still waiting for eggs....

Here are more pictures of the chick in question... please also note that it typically does not have a brown color to it... I think it got "bombed" under the roosting poles! Whoops!!
