I was wondering what the chances were of an EE laying a white egg. I have 5 EEs, 2 BO, 2 RIR, 2 Silver Laced wyandottes, 2 delawares, 2 black aussies and 2 welsummers. I have an order in for some meat birds and i thought if my chances were very slim that i would get a white egg out of one of my EEs that i would order a couple of Lt brown leghorns for the white eggs to complete my basket. Anyone have any idea?

Chances are high, from my experience. I bred an EE hen to an EE roo, and the 2 pullet babies that began laying last fall BOTH lay white eggs. Mom lays a green egg. Sigh...but, I still love them, and they are awesome layers!

I have two EEs one lays blue/green color and one a pinkish white.

Oh, I am so excited...I have 4 EE pullets from Meyers and 3 EE pullets from Mt healthy. I cant wait to see their eggs. I hope I get a blue and pink egg along with the olive green eggs.

I have a question too....

What are the chances a EE will lay a blue/green egg? out of 10 EE's?

I don't think we can come up with the exact odds, but out of 10 EEs, I'm sure you'll have several blue/green eggs. I'm sure it'll be fun for you to watch and figure out who's laying which eggs.

what about out of 4? 2?

Most of the people that have EE's get colored eggs, i just wasnt sure if they layed white eggs. But I'd say most lay green eggs.
