If you're looking for colored eggs (meaning the blue-green), you are guaranteed that with Ameraucana as it is an actual breed with standards for both the chicken and the egg.
An EE is a mutt and you can literally get anything (chicken-wise or egg-wise). The eggs may be any color, there are no standards. For example, I have 2 EE's and get pinkish and light brown eggs. One EE is white with green legs and the other is a golden honey color with greyish legs.
I wanted the green eggs so I got an Ameraucana a couple of months ago and I LOVE the color of her eggs. Now I just want a Cream Legbar so I can have the blue eggs. There's no end to it!
