No it isn't bad, some hens will always lay an egg with a thick bloom while others might do it once off or only a few times a year.
I have a light brown layer who always has a thick bloom, it causes her eggs to look baby pink. I also have an olive egger who does it at random.
These are all from the same OE hen, the very pale one is actually the same green colour when wet
