I recently joined the board and am happy learning so much, so fast from everyone. I'm have a question about my two EE/Ameracauna's
These girls have been with us now for 4 weeks and have yet to lay. They were born last fall and we got them from our CSA farm at the same time our RIR pullets came in. My younger RIR all started laying within the first two weeks, these girls - nothing. The farm where they came from has a few more from last fall's hatchlings - they have about six and are getting some eggs. Just looking for some words of wisdom/help on this. I can't figure it out. I'd love to keep 'em, but they need to start earning their keep.

TIA

Michelle and her peeps.

Post some pics, I bet they are younger than you were told. Sometimes EE's and especially Ameraucana's can be slow to mature. But I still think you were told a bunch of hooey and they are still too young.
