Eeewww Gross!

I got the 2 Marans from Harp's Turkeys here in McCleary. He is on BYC. They are laying BIG eggs. They aren't very dark, though, but I don't think the BS eggs are supposed to be as dark as the BC ones. The shape of the egg is lovely. Very round on one end. One of them lays with splotchy brown, the other one's are more uniform.

I can relate! I just built my coop too. Took waaay longer than I expected. My birds are only 10 weeks old so I haven't gotten my first egg yet . I sure hope it has a shell on it when I do get one because you set the bar high by eating the first egg !!
