It is all just in fun. Typically a letter is chosen by Kiki. The party entry requirements are a photo that you took of something that begins with the chosen party letter.

Too true. I read them because I have to and I fill them with sticky notes to remind me of external information or specifics that I need to cover in lecture.

... Then again, I haven't read the books in a few years, I don't think. And the last one that I read was the final one, which was pretty dark, if I recall correctly....
