Hi all! I initially asked over in the raising chicks section if you can tell whether an EE chick is going to be rumpless... someone said they might be roos, so I am posting pics here for advice. They are only 15 days old, so I know I may just have to wait and see... but here goes. Also put in pics of my other two chicks... all are the same age, got them as day old chicks at the local feed store. He had ordered them as sexed females from "a hatchery" in Ohio.

The first one is Amelia (the first to fly, named by my six year old), a RIR. I think she is a pullet (see below):

The next one is Goldie (below)... she is a BO, and I HOPE a pullet... the boys love her. However, "she" has no tail feathers yet and stands kind of erect:

Now the EE's:
Henrietta (below)... I think is a pullet:

Harriet (below)... I think is a pullet:

Clarice (below)... just barely getting tail feathers now, and not many. Could she be rumpless, or a roo? Does a rumpless chicken have NO tailbone?:

Mocha (below)... has a cute beard and very few fine tail feathers, comb looks the same as Henrietta's:

Any thoughts would be appreciated... obviously I know I may just have to wait and see. Thanks for your help! More pics for sure in a few weeks!

I have two EE chicks, both pullets I am pretty sure, but the smaller one got her tail feathers later then the bigger of the two. She did get them real nice around 3 weeks, this week in fact lol. Not sure about the dark one though, pretty! I also hear EE are hard to judge even at 4-6 weeks lol I will keep my fingers crossed for you

OK, good... glad to know that there is still hope for all the EE's at this point. Will post more pics at 4 and then 6 weeks to see what everyone thinks then.

Yeah, I am worried about the BO also... s(he) is bigger than the other chicks and slower to feather... the good news is there will be definite changes in the comb soon! At least I have a home in the country lined up for any roos...
